Thank you Ron
Sometimes I have doubts about the convenience or not of street photography but …….. when I see this kind of situations ………… my fingers cant stop to press the trigger
😀 😀 😀

It isn’t about convenience, it is about finding a good story and the right emotional content. Don’t give it up.
August 13, 2013 at 02:34
Sure, but sometimes I have doubts (normally after taking the pic) about sharing these histories or preserve the people´s intimacy.
it is also true that these doubts usually disappear almost immediately 😀

Personally, I believe freedom of expression trumps “privacy” because there is no privacy in public places. The European view differs.
August 13, 2013 at 03:17
I think you have reason. In fact my thinking about this question is very similar at your point of view, but the real problem is the law, the law differs too.
Usually nothing happens, but if you recognize yourself in a photo and want to get me in trouble, you can.
As I have not earned money with the pics and not denigrate or ridicule anyone, normally the problems will be small (remove the photo surely)
August 13, 2013 at 03:40
In the USA and most places there is no problem. The law favors the photographer. Europe is the exception.

Dont believe it
When I walk ever carry with me my little toy (Nikon 1 V1 with the 10-30mm lense) and ever ready to shoot with shutter priority 1/160sg.
The rest is luck and see the situation before the situation be
Madrid has aprox 3,5 million persons is very difficult dont see something curious if you walking every days.
If I lived in NY sure I become crazy, yesterday was seeing this page (HONY) http://www.humansofnewyork.com/ thinking “what a lucky guy”.
Is very nice know that you like the pictures, thank you very much Patti.
August 13, 2013 at 17:44
I was just looking at HONY’s page!!! and I have shots of Mr Hony!
The man in the shot seemed to be taking his time while the dog seemed to be in more of a hurry.

Saludos !!

Nice photos! Have been reading the comments and the laws in most European countries about “privacy” are so strict, like we are not been monitored day and night by big brother and a photo at a public place will affect the life of others. Like we forget that photographers of the first third of the 20th century had a home in Paris and we are eager to kill this. The Americans took over after the war, but these laws are really a tombstone to the European photography and not only the street photography. When these laws passed in the late 90ies and early 00ies, no photography organisation shouted loud enough. What do politicians and lawyers know about photography?
August 30, 2013 at 19:08
I agree with your words “these laws are really a tombstone to the European photography”
especially for the street photography.
